History, art
and merriment: Our 20th Anniversary Celebration

Twenty years ago the vision for the Rufus Porter Museum of Art & Ingenuity began to take shape when a handful of dedicated Bridgton residents gathered to approve the bylaws and nominate the initial group of officers needed to form a museum.

This summer, we're thrilled to celebrate the remarkable journey that began in March 2005. Join us on Wednesday, July 16th, at the Bear Mountain Inn in Waterford as we mark our 20th anniversary, reflecting on two decades of preserving art, celebrating ingenuity and fostering community.

This anniversary event is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our journey and look forward to an exciting future ahead.

To mark this special occasion, we are planning an engaging evening filled with plenty of food, drink and festive cheer. Guests will have the chance to bid on exciting items and experiences in both a dynamic live auction and a thoughtfully curated silent auction.

Additionally, we will be offering a fascinating presentation that chronicles the 20-year history of the Rufus Porter Museum, highlighting key achievements and the unwavering support of our beloved community.

Join us for an evening of camaraderie and cheer as we raise a toast to two decades of community support and the spirit of innovation that Rufus Porter embodied. Tickets are $75 apiece and can be purchased through Eventbrite. If you have issues purchasing the tickets online, please email RPM Executive Director Daniel Dinsmore at daniel@rufusportermuseum.org for assistance.

This anniversary event is a heartfelt thank you to all who have contributed to the museum's growth and success, and an exciting glimpse into the next chapter. We hope to see you in July!

Stay tuned for happenings as our 2025 Season Opens!
