Set your own pace for a day of discovery during the second annual Western Maine History Trail on Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This free, self-guided open house event invites history enthusiasts of all ages to explore the rich regional heritage stretching along Route 302 from Westbrook to Fryeburg. Pack a lunch or map out your stops to explore participating local landmarks, museums, and historical societies — including our very own Rufus Porter Museum of Art & Ingenuity!
Enjoy special tours, unique exhibits, and light refreshments along the way. Admission is free (donations gratefully accepted), and groups are welcome to join the adventure.
