About the Event
Join the Rufus Porter Museum and Elizabeth Miller of Parris House Wool Works for a talk about traditional rug hooking, from its history here in Maine, the New England region, and in the Canadian Maritimes, to contemporary expressions of the art evolving in modern times. Elizabeth will bring examples of the art, explain basic tools, materials, and techniques used, answer all of your rug hooking questions, and offer a chance to try your hand at hooking yourself.
This event will be held at Narramissic Farm in Bridgton. A limited amount of tickets will be available. Advanced tickets only. $35/pp, includes lunch.
